Publishing for Introverts by Amy Mason Doan
If you’re like me, the prospect of querying agents, offering your writing up for critique in groups, approaching booksellers and fellow authors about events, reading, and promoting your work on social media and at conferences is overwhelming— maybe so unappealing that you wonder if you’re better off not publishing. But if I can navigate the business, so can you. I’ll share what I’ve learned, tell a few stories about confronting my fears — like the time I got heckled at a reading— and answer all of your questions. Please join me!
Amy Mason Doan is the bestselling author of the novels THE SUMMER LIST and SUMMER HOURS, out now, and LADY SUNSHINE, publishing June 29, 2021 (all from Graydon House/HarperCollins). “Doan’s characters leap off the page,” says Publishers Weekly. Amy grew up in Danville, California and now lives in Portland, Oregon. She’s written for The Oregonian, San Francisco Chronicle, Wired, Forbes, and other publications. Amy has an M.A. in Journalism from Stanford University and a B.A. in English from U.C. Berkeley.
This meeting is on Tuesday, December 1st, 7 - 8 pm.
