Willamette Writers Summer Reading with Armin Tolentino

Join us for our Summer Reading

Working on a new poem? Editing a short essay? Taking a crack at a chapter in your novel? Join us for a night of reading. Poet Armin Tolentino will kick off our Summer Reading on June 4, 2019 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ (1126 SW Park Ave in Downtown Portland). Doors open at 6:30PM. 
Armin will lead us through a craft discussion, including a consideration of how to read your work at the mic. He will then open the floor to Willamette Writers members to share their work.

Doors open at 6:30PM. Sign up begins at 6:40PM. Reading is limited to 6 readers, maximum of five minutes each. The bell rings at 5 minutes and the next reader takes the stage. 

About Armin Tolentino

Armin Tolentino earned his MFA at Rutgers University in Newark, NJ. His poetry has appeared in Common Knowledge, Arsenic Lobster, Hyphen Magazine, and The Raven Chronicles. His debut poetry collection, We Meant To Bring It Home Alive, was published by Alternating Current Press in 2019.
